GEORGE FAVORS SR.

George Favors Sr., 89, a resident of Patterson, La. and native of Calumet, La., passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 12:50 a.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, La., from 11 a.m. until funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. with Elder Clifton Tate of Bethlehem Church of God In Christ officiating. Burial with military honors will follow funeral services in the Willing Workers Cemetery in Patterson, La.
Memories of George Sr. will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Doris J. Favors of Patterson, La.; five sons, George Burnie Favors of Seattle, Wash., George Favors III and Kirt Favors all Patterson, La., James Favors of Lafayette, La. and Brandon (Desiree) Cormier of Clarksville, Tenn.; four daughters, Mrs. Willie (Gwendolyn) Douglas, Mrs. Wilfred (Cooky) Livingston, Mechelle Favors and Mrs. Larry (Lisa) Green all of Patterson, La.; four sisters, Delores Butler of Patterson, La., Zenola Simmons, Georgina Woods and Helen Miller all of Los Angeles, Calif.; one god-child, 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
George Sr. was preceded in death by one son, three daughters, a great-grandson, his parents, his step-mother and his five siblings.
