Ms. Florence E. Batiste, age 71, a residence of New Orleans, La. and a native of Charenton, La., passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, in New Orleans, La.
Visitation 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Funeral Service at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Austerlitz Baptist Church (819 Austerlitz Street-New Orleans, La.) Officiating Minister: Rev. Edward W. Parker, Jr.
Visitation 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Funeral Services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (1262 Bobtown Road - Charenton, La.) Officiating Ministers: Rev. Paul Godfrey and Rev. Allen Randle
Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Charenton, La.
Ms. Batiste, is survived by (1) Daughter: Miss Toni T. Batiste of Houston, Texas; (1) Son: Pierre J. “Joey” Batiste of New Orleans, La.; (3) Grandchildren: Shatondra Batiste and Sherman Batiste both of Houston, Texas; & Joey P. Batiste of New Orleans, La.; (3) Great Grandchildren: Adyn Batiste, Aaron Batiste, & Skylar Batiste all of Houston, Texas; (1) Sister: Ms. Mary Louise Batiste of Charenton, La.; (2) Brothers: Albert Batiste of New Orleans, La; and Ronald (his Wife, Peggy) Carter of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, (6) Brothers, (4) Sisters and a Grandson.
