Ethel Mae Poindexter, 58, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Raceland, La., passed away peacefully at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Janaury 26, 2018.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at New Zion Baptist Church, Grand Caillou Road in Houma. Burial will follow in Crescent Farm Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Taquon Brenta Poindexter; brothers, Sidney Poindexter, Harry Pierre, Norman Pierre all of Raceland and Willie Williams of Franklin; sisters, Lorraine Fuselier of Morgan City, Mrs. Arthur (Rita) Meads, Mrs. Charles (Sherry) Nixon, Patricia Lewis and Mrs. Joe B (Rose) Tucker all of Raceland; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; sisters, grandparents.
