EARL PAUL KING JR.

Earl Paul King, Jr., a beloved husband and father, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the age of 77 at Terrebonne General Hospital with his family by his side.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 6pm-9pm and will resume Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 9am-11am with Funeral Services immediately following at Hargrave
Funeral Home, Morgan City, LA. Interment will follow in Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.

Earl was born on July 8, 1944, in Dublin, TX. He played football for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In 1967 Earl became a businessman in the Morgan City area when he founded King Trucking, Inc.

Throughout the years he was an enthusiastic public servant and philanthropist. He was appointed to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission by two governors and served as chairman for one year. He endowed the Earl King Scholarship at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He served on the board of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival and served as king in 2004. Earl was also a member of Tiger Athletic Foundation, Louisiana Motor Transport Association, St. Mary Industrial Group and American Petroleum Institute. In his leisure time he enjoyed spending time with family, attending LSU athletic events, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his father Earl Paul King, Sr. and his mother Bobbie Hanson Young; in laws, Homer and Barbara Pettit Dudley; step son, Christopher Grow.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Linda Dudley King, his 4 children, Earl Paul King III, Darla King, Sharla King, William King; stepdaughter, Julie Grow Theriot and her husband Peter; brother, Joel King, Sr. and his wife Heidi; grandchildren, Meagan Louviere and her husband Sean, Kayla Derouen Wiggins and her husband Peter, Alyssa Mankin,

Mallory Chiasson Jarreau and her husband Taylor, Mason Chiasson, McBride Reed Gallagher, Sadie Gallagher, Catherine Theriot, Zachary Theriot and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
