Dorestine Mae “Tee Tee” Pierre Jackson, 70, a resident of Sorrel, La. and a native of Charenton, La., passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 4:15 pm at the Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabiltation Center in New Iberia, La.
Viewing will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street in Franklin, La., from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Visitation will resume at 12 Noon until funeral services at 2 p.m. at the St. Moses Baptist Church 20135 La. 182 Jeanerette, La. 70544, with Bishop B. K. Stevens Officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the St. John Cemetery 334 Martin Luther King Road Charenton, La.
Memories of Dorestine or “Tee Tee” as she was known to many will forever remain in the hearts of her two sons, Maurice Jackson Sr. of Jeanerette, La. and Wilson Jackson, Jr. of Sorrel, La.; her former husband, Wilson Jackson Sr. of Baldwin, La.; a niece she helped to raise as a daughter, Mrs. Ronald ( Jennifer) Washington of Jeanerette, La.; five sisters; Mrs. Paul (Lois P.) Toussaint, Jr. of Charenton, La.; Carol P. Lockett of Charenton, La.; Virginia P. Madison of Baldwin, La.; Mrs. Rev. Ivory (Debra P.) Williams of Franklin, La.; and Mrs. Calvin (Nina P.) Martin of Charenton, La.; five grandchildren, two godchildren, two uncles, two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Dorestine was preceded in death by her daughter, her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and one niece.
