DORESTINE P. JACKSON

Dorestine Pierre Jackson, 70, a native of Charenton and resident of Sorrel, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Iberia.
Visitation will be Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin and will resume at noon until services at 2 p.m. at St. Moses Baptist Church in Jeanerette. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Charenton.
She is survived by two sons, Maurice Jackson Sr. of Jeanerette and Wilson Jackson Jr. of Sorrel; former husband; a niece; five sisters, Lois Toussaint and Carol Lockett, both of Charenton, Virginia Madison of Baldwin, Debra Williams of Franklin, and Nina Martin of Morgan City; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a niece.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
