Darrell O’Neil Hawkins
Darrell O’Neil Hawkins, 65, a native of Bayou Sale and resident of Centerville, died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin. Masks and social distancing required. Military honors will follow services. Inurnment will be at a later date.
He is survived by children, Avery Hawkins of New Iberia, Horatio Hawkins of Monroe, Shontay Brooks of Houston and Ki’Andreia James of Indianapolis, Indiana; siblings, Ricky Hawkins and Tana Jones, both of Franklin, Barbara Hawkins of Verdunville, Deridre Powell of New Orleans, Carolyn Hawkins of Centerville and Joyce Triggs of Patterson; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
