Anthony “Tony” George, Jr. was born on June 20, 1979 to Gwendolyn P. (formerly George) and the late Anthony George Sr. Along with his mother, Tony was lovingly and supportively reared, since the age of 3, by his father Morgan Thomas, Jr. in the communities of Franklin and Baldwin, La. He left this world unexpectedly, much too soon, on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 6:02 a.m. at Memorial Hermann Hospital following major complications from a very serious medical condition.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents: Morgan Jr. and Gwendolyn P. Thomas; his sisters: Kourtney Tremelle and Kyrstyne Allayne Thomas of Chevy Chase, MD; his brother: Dexter George of Abbeville, La.; his children: Morgan Alise George of Baton Rouge, La. and Peyton Anthony George of Houston, TX; his fiancé, Arielle Curry of Houston, TX; his grandparents: Morgan Thomas Sr. and Viola B. Thomas of Franklin, La.; aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, co-workers and a host of caring friends who will miss him dearly.
We take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place with loved ones who have gone on before him. “Tony” now joins, in the company of God and our Lord and Savior, his grandparents: Hammond Jr. and Loretta C. Polk; his aunt: Carla P. St. Julien; his uncle: John C. Polk; and his cousins: Reginald O’Neal, Eddie, Jr., Brian, and Bradley Cahee.
