Alton Brashear, 70, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at his residence.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City. The East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will perform military honors.
He is survived by a son, Alton Castille of Morgan City; a brother, Raymond Ruffin of Morgan City; sisters, Ora Lee Garner of Morgan City and Suzette Brashear of Lafayette; stepmother, Idela Brashear; stepsister, Mary Poole of Morgan City; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, wife, a son, a daughter, a brother and sisters.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
