ABBIE MARIE DEGRAVELLES MCNULTY

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Church of the Assumption in Franklin, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Abbie Marie deGravelles McNulty, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on Sunday, March 12.
Abbie loved music and especially loved singing in the church choir for years. She used her great organizational skills to plan events for the choir and to organize the music for the choir members.
God blessed her with a creative spirit. She was a fabulous cook and would bake loaves of bread and deliver them to others who were grieving, ill, or just needed a ray of sunshine in their lives. She enjoyed crafts, photo scrapbooks, and many other creative activities. She also organized trips and events for her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas Frere McNulty, her four children, Kathleen Flanagan and her husband Jimmy of New Iberia, Charlotte McNulty of Houston, Texas, Thomas McNulty and wife Kathleen of Lafayette, and Shay McNulty of Fort Worth, Texas; her two sisters, Jeannette deGravelles Piette, and Renee deGravelles Stirling and her husband Tom; sisters-in-law, Jane deGravelles, Claire “Pookie” McNulty, and Erin McNulty; six grandchildren, Patrick Flanagan, Kerry Flanagan White and her husband, Bryan, Erin McNulty and her fiancé, Alex Armstrong, Caroline McNulty, Miranda McNulty, and Madeline McNulty; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Joseph deGravelles, Sr. and Abbie Marin deGravelles; two brothers, Percy Joseph “Pete” deGravelles, Jr. and Robert “Bob” deGravelles; three sisters, Marin deGravelles Piette, Mary deGravelles Moreau, and Charlotte deGravelles LeBlanc; brothers-in-law, Larry Piette, Sam Moreau, Randolph LeBlanc Jr., Michael Burke, and Michael McNulty Jr., and sister-in-law, Patricia deGravelles.
