ABBIE JOSEPH GRIZZAFFI

Abbie Joseph Grizzaffi, 86, a native and resident of Morgan City, LA, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Foret Grizzaffi; brother, Leo Grizzaffi, Sr. and wife Tina; sister, Belva G. Myers and husband J.D.; twenty nieces and nephews he loved as children and who reciprocated that love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Grizzaffi, Sr. and Alice Randall Grizzaffi; brothers, Frank P. Grizzaffi, Jr., Ronald A. Grizzaffi, Sr.; sister, Alice G. Vial.

Abbie was a generous soul, who spent years caring for his parents until their passing. Although never having any of his own, he loved and treated his nieces and nephews as his own children. He loved both hunting and fishing, and he will also be remembered as a great cook, who loved to sit at the table and reminisce with friends and family.

Visitation was Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, LA followed by burial in Morgan City Cemetery.
