
Alexander Fixler
Fixler joins staff at Bayou Bend
Bayou Bend Health System announced the addition of Alexander Fixler, MD, as the newest internal medicine physician joining the Bayou Bend medical staff in mid-September.
Fixler graduated cum laude from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine-Ochsner Clinical School, where he studied for two years in Brisbane, Queensland in Australia, and two years at Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans.
He completed his residency program in the Department of Internal Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans, and he is a member of AmeriCorps Alums, Louisiana State Medical Society, American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, American Medical Informatics Association and American College of Physicians.
Fixler began seeing patients Tuesday. His office is located in Suite B inside the Medical Office Building next to the hospital at 200 Medical Drive, Franklin. New patients are welcome. For all inquiries or to schedule an appointment, call 337-828-5099.
