Louis Tamporello, Isabelle Hernandez are 2026 festival royalty

Louis Tamporello Jr. and Isabelle Hernandez were crowned Saturday as the king and queen for the 91st Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival.

Tamporello is a Morgan City native and a graduate of both Central Catholic High School and Nicholls State University. He is married to the former Mary Blum also of Morgan City and they have three children, eight grandchildren and three step
grandchildren. Mr. Tamporello is employed by Coastwide Electric and is a member of
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morgan City Rotary Club, the Quality Management Council of Ochsner St. Mary and the Atchafalaya Colonels Club, and is fundraising chairman for the Morgan City High School Boosters Club.

He was a Morgan City councilman for District 5 for 20 years and is a past board member of Atchafalaya River Coalition, SMIG, CCFC, API, Chamber of Commerce and Teche Regional Hospital Advisory Board.

Tamporello is the son of the late Mr. &; Mrs. Louis Tamporello, Sr.

Queen Isabelle Hernandez

Isabelle Hernandez, 19, is the daughter of Ashleigh and Matthew Chiasson of Berwick. She is a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She previously attended LSU, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She is currently attending Baton Rouge Community College to pursue a degree in medical diagnostic sonography.

At Baton Rouge Community College, she is involved in the Christian Student Association Club. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys sharing her passion for softball by mentoring young athletes, staying active with Pilates, spending time with her family and friends, and spending time outdoors with her dogs. She looks forward to a career in health care where she can make a positive impact in the lives of others.
