Acadian names VP for Gulf Coast region
Porter Taylor has been named the inaugural regional vice president for Acadian Ambulance’s Gulf Coast region.
Taylor has been with Acadian since 1986, when he started as an emergency medical technician and maintenance runner at Acadian’s headquarters in Lafayette.
He went on to work as a paramedic, flight paramedic, field supervisor, community relations supervisor, and operations manager before becoming VP of operations for Acadian’s North Texas region in 2011. Most recently, he served as director of operations for Acadian’s Louisiana East region.
As regional VP, Taylor will lead Acadian’s community relations throughout its new Gulf Coast region, which includes Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Acadian established the region as it seeks opportunities across the area.
“I am excited to connect with local officials and facility partners to help them develop new, innovative ways to support their communities’ health care needs,” Taylor said.
