Morgan City Mayor Lee Dragna recently signed a proclamation supporting the Bayouland Emergency Amateur Radio Service's participation in Field Day on June 27 and 28. BEARS members took equipment to Stephensville to show that they're prepared to assist authorities during emergencies. BEARS operators made more than 400 contacts using voice, digital weak-signal communications and Morse code.
