St. Mary agencies report battery, assault, fighting arrests

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

St. Mary law enforcement agencies reported seven arrests on assault or battery charges this week, plus another on a fighting charge and three for resisting arrest.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:

--Jennifer Causey, 38, Filmore Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2 a.m. Wednesday on charges of domestic abuse battery and cruelty to a juvenile.

--Brittan Boudreaux, 41, Lizabeth Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:48 a.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice and resisting an officer.

--Billy Greenwood, 57, North Everett Street, Morgan City, arrested was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of remaining where forbidden.

--Allen Escort, 61, Mount Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Conley Jones, 76, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Johnathon Lawrence, 39, North Culberhouse Street, Jonesboro, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

--Laura Derrick, 44, Rosemary Lane, Greenville, South Carolina, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless operation.

--Christina Breaux, 32, Olive Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3 p.m. Monday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Timothy Francis, 38, Idaho Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Monday on a charge of telephone harassment.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Jasmine Monique Thomas, 27, New Iberia, was arrested at 1 p.m. Monday on charges of simple battery and possession of marijuana.

--Decory Andrews, 28, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of aggravated battery. Andrews continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--David Lenes Aucoin Jr., 29, Patterson, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of Schedule I drugs, resisting an officer by flight, and resisting arrest or officer. Aucoin was also in a warrant through the Morgan City Police Department alleging domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $17,500, and a hold was placed on Aucoin for another agency.

--William Thomas Lacoste, 24, Houma, was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Monday on charges of expired plates, no insurance and expired inspection sticker. Lacoste was released on a $750 bond.

--Christina Allison Breaux, 32, Gulfport, Mississippi, was arrested at 12:11 p.m. Monday on a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Troy Bernard Thomas, 54, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:29 p.m. Monday on charges of theft and entry or remaining on premises after being forbidden. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Mindy Lynn Cross, 41, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday on a Lafourche Parish warrant alleging fraud. Cross is being held for another agency.

--Kellie Sue Boudreaux, 43, Patterson, was arrested at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for improper lane usage and operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled.

Boudreaux also was named in a warrant alleging failure to appear through the Morgan City Police Department. Bail has not been set at this time and Boudreaux is being held for another agency.

--Amber Nettie James, 25, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:19 a.m. Tuesday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of theft and probation violation. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Oza Leblanc, 71, Amelia, was arrested at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday on charges of reckless operation, driving while intoxicated, and hit and run. Leblanc was released on a $4,000 bond.

--Jacob Gabriel Fernandez Sr., 38, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession methamphetamine. Bail has not been set at this time

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Kelvin L. Moore, 29, Wise Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. Monday on two counts of disturbing the peace, two counts of resisting an officer or arrest, and simple assault.

Moore is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Malcolm J. Smith, 39, Eighth Street, Patterson, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Monday on charges of disarming a police officer, two counts of resisting arrest or officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II drug, possession in a drug-free zone (school), obstruction of justice, driver’s license suspended or revoked, no seatbelt, and stop sign violation.

Smith is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Merrill R. Cormier, 50, Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of a Schedule I drug (mushrooms), possession of Lortabs, possession of THC gummies, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal.

Cormier is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Ronnie Boatman, 47, Carl C. Foulcard Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday on charges of domestic abuse battery and illegal possession of stolen things. Boatman was booked, processed and held on a $6,000 bond.

--Hunter Boudreaux, 24, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested at 2 p.m. Tuesday on warrants for 6th Ward Morgan City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and speeding. Boudreaux was booked, processed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.

--Tatia Jaquillard, 27, Bigler Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant dated Dec, 3, 2024, alleging theft. Jaquillard was booked, processed and released on a $1,500 bond.

--Brandi Mire, 47, Main Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary. Mire was booked, processed and transported to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

--Gerald Dupas, 39, Iberia Street, Franklin, while incarcerated at the Franklin Police Department, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging probation violation. Dupas was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Jasmine Thomas, 27, Bank Avenue, New Iberia, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Monday on a warrant dated Jan, 22, 2023, alleging simple battery. Thomas was booked, processed and released on a $2,500 bond.
