K-9 Officer Richard Aguilar was named the Morgan City Police Department's Officer of the Year at the Marine Corps League St. Mary Detachment's annual banquet Tuesday. Chief Chad M. Adams, right, said Aguilar "consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism in everything he does. He takes pride in mentoring and encouraging younger officers, often assisting them with additional training to help them grow in their careers."
