Walter Huff Mays Jr., 79, a native of Savannah, Georgia, and resident of Morgan City, died Jan. 16, 2026.
He is survived by his wife, Deysi Perero-Bolanos Mays; six children, Phoebe Perault, Katy Gilmore, Timothy Maysh, Harold Camejo, Lillian Mays and Sheyla Panezo-Perero; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Tina Billiot, Shirlene Talamo, Bobby Sampey and Michael Sampey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Memorial/Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at the VFW Hall in Morgan City.
Twin City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
