Twisted Cat championship tournament will be here this weekend

Cajun Coast Tourism, in partnership with Twisted Cat Outdoors, will host the 2025 Twisted Cat Outdoors National Championship in St. Mary parish.
Only the best of the best will compete in this exclusive event, Cajun Coast said. The National Championship brings together the top 50 anglers from the 2025 Twisted Cat Outdoors season, representing states from across the country, to battle it out for the championship title.
The tournament is on Friday and Saturday Nov. 7-8. There will be a pre-tournament dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Morgan City docks.
A total of $28,500 is on the line as anglers compete across 10 categories for their shot at the top. Prizes will be awarded for first through eighth place, Biggest Fish and Angler of the Year, with $10,000 going to the first-place winner and $3,000 to the Angler of the Year. It’s been a close race all season, and everything comes down to this tournament.
The weigh-in will take place at 3 p.m. at the Morgan City docks and is open to the public. Twisted Cat Outdoors invites everyone to come experience the excitement firsthand and watch as massive catfish are brought in for the final count.
