Acadian: Stay safe this Halloween

To promote a safe and enjoyable Halloween, Acadian Ambulance encourages everyone to follow these safety guidelines:
•Stay visible. Use flashlights, glow sticks, or reflective tape on costumes and treat bags. 
•Stay alert. Avoid distractions like phones or earbuds while walking. 
•Watch for traffic. Cross at corners and make eye contact with drivers. 
•Drive cautiously. Keep costumes safe. Choose light colors and avoid masks that block vision. 
•Supervise children. Kids under 12 should have an adult with them. Older children should travel in groups. 
•Check candy before eating. Don’t eat any unwrapped candy or treats. 
•If you’re handing out candy, keep your porch light on and ensure decorations are safely placed away from walkways or open flames. Keep pets indoors to avoid unexpected fears or escapes.
