Patterson man accused of sex crimes involving children

A Patterson man was arrested Friday on sex crimes involving a juvenile, St. Mary deputies reported.

St. Mary

reported these arrests:
--Jaquandre Shemar Williams, 23, Patterson, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Friday on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile, carnal knowledge of a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
On Aug. 21, a detective was advised to proceed to the Morgan City Police Department in reference to a complaint of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The detective spoke with an MCPD detective who was working on a case involving Williams. An additional incident occurred in the Bayou Vista area.
The detective opened an investigation into that incident and through the investigation, obtained evidence that led to a warrant for Williams. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center or booking on Friday. Bail was set at $75,000.
--Leonard Joseph Romero III, 46, Franklin, was arrested at 9:26 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for reckless operation (no accident) and resisting arrest or officer. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Cameron Orrin Mitchell, 25, Franklin, was arrested at 5:27 p.m. Oct. 22 on charges of disturbing the peace (language), simple battery, simple criminal damage to property and home invasion.
Bail was set at $50,000.
--Jewel Ann Ross, 41, Morgan City, was arrested at 1 p.m. Saturday on charges of possession of heroin, possession of Schedule II drugs, obstruction of justice (tampering), possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest or officer.
Bail was set at $39,000.
--Michelle Lynn Pellerin, 54, Centerville, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Saturday on charge of simple battery. Pellerin was released on a $2,500 bond.
--Donald Thomas Dupree, 26, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:19 a.m. Sunday on a New Iberia Police Department warrant. Dupree is being held for another agency.
--Aris Michael Granger, 38, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. Sunday on three warrants alleging failure to appear for non-support. Bail was set at $99,850.37.
--Avotre Drevonn Perro, 26, Franklin, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for improper lane usage and operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled. Bail was set at $1,000.
--Tamika Fleming, 42, Baldwin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 6:52 p.m. Oct. 22 on charges of driving under suspension, possession with intent to distribute oxycodone) and improper equipment. Bail was set at $36,250.
--Justin Scarbrough, 33, Bayou Vista, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 1:21 p.m. Sunday on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery. Bail was set at $15,000.

--Israel Menchu, 19, Union Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:26 p.m. Thursday on charges of resisting an officer, disregard of traffic controls and no driver’s license.
--Shane Keith Scott, 42, Gabriel Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. Thursday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law).
--Dearius Devonte Young, 26, Eighth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Friday on a charge of criminal damage to property.
--Jesse Richardson, 27, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:09 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft (under $1,000), disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and criminal damage to property.
--Ryaon Kelroy Bridgewater, 36, West Avenue, Cut Off, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. Saturday on charges of disregard of traffic controls and resisting an officer.
--Elton Jerome Pinn, 41, First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. Sunday on a charge of simple battery.

Franklin

reported this arrest:
--Shontranice McDaniel, 30, Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. Friday on charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace. McDaniel was booked, processed and released on a $3,500 bond.
