One less bottleneck

The Review/Bill Decker
In what is predicted to be an active hurricane season, one potential headache has been eliminated. A stretch of westbound U.S. 90, from the Baldwin area to Sorrel, is now open for two-lane travel. That stretch had been restricted to one lane while state crews resurfaced the roadway, leading to concern about a bottleneck on a key hurricane evacuation route The eastbound section of U.S. 90 in that area remains restricted to one lane.
