Wide variety of charges in arrests by local agencies

Among the arrests reported in the last week, St. Mary deputies detained people on charges ranging from animal cruelty to cyberstalking to disturbing the peace at a funeral.
A Franklin teenager also faces attempted murder charges in a March 8 shooting.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Zoey Gonzales, 18, Houma, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. Saturday on a charge of cyberstalking. Gonzales was released on a $5,000 bond.
--Ray Anthony Chaisson Jr., 34, Houma, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. Saturday on a charge of cyberstalking. Chaisson was released on a $5,000 bond.
--Shelby Marie Chaisson, 32, Houma, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. Saturday on charges of cyberstalking, disturbing the peace at a funeral, interfering with a law enforcement investigation, and resisting arrest or officer. Chaisson was released on a $11,500 bond.
--Danielle Ruth Jones, 38, Patterson, was arrested at 6:59 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging two counts of cruelty to animals. Jones was released on a $2,000 bond.
--Lexi Lynn Martin, 26, Franklin, was arrested on at 2:28 p.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for the charges of expired license plate, simple battery and no insurance. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Jerry Lee Carscaden, 39, Jeanerette, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. Saturday on charges of second-degree battery, simple battery, disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and distribution of Schedule IV drugs.
Bail was set at $91,750
--Joshua James Robert Jones, 37, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Deiondra Joseph, 29, Patterson, was arrested at 6:59 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for monetary instrument abuse and bank fraud. Bail was set
at $29,000.
--Ebonie Desha Brown, 35, Franklin, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; speeding; reckless operation; possession of marijuana; and failure to stop or yield at a stop sign.
--Elton Pinn, 41, Morgan City, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 4:54 p.m. Friday on charges of following too closely, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,500.
--Eddie Norman Jr., 47, Franklin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 5:01 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of heroin and introduction of contraband into a penal institution. Bail was set at $100,000.
--Ben Henry Scott, 70, New Orleans, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. July 16 on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and driving while intoxicated. Bail has not been set at this time.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--Akema McClendon, 39, Shannon Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Claudia Gomez, 26, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Friday on charges of felony contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
--Charmain Hebert, 39, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Friday on charges of theft (less than $1,000) and access device fraud.
--Jarvis Granger, 39, Joseph St. Amelia, was arrested at 4:13 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Jenry Lopez-Garcia, 43, Louisa Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Friday on charges of improper lane usage, no driver’s license and failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Kieth Clark, 48, Levi Street, Morgan City, was arrested 10:07 a.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace. (Released on summons.)
--Andri Giroir, 53, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested 11 a.m. Saturday on charges of improper lane usage and possession of marijuana (first offense). (Released on summons.)
--Carlos Lopez, 51, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:34 p.m. Saturday on charges of soliciting for prostitution, resisting an officer, simple battery, criminal trespass, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and disturbing the peace.
--Riley Lodrigue, 20, Elm Street, Morgan City, was arrested on 7:58 p.m. Saturday on charges of general speed and reckless operation. (Released on summons.)
--Jose Hernandez, 47, Victor II Boulevard, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. Saturday on charges of hit and run and no driver’s license.
--Nola Folse, 37, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested 8:56 p.m. Sunday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Gerald Jones, 50, Keith Street, Morgan City, arrested at 9:50 p.m. Sunday on a charge of remaining where forbidden.
--Lorenzo Ramirez-Medina, 21, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. Thursday on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with juveniles.
--Brelin Andorf, 27, Nevada Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Thursday as a fugitive from 16th Judicial District Court.
--Immanuel Gary, 36, Orange Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:16 a.m. July 16 on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Javien Colbert, 17, Martin Luther King Avenue, Patterson, was arrested at 1:26 p.m. July 16 on charges of aggravated battery and disturbing the peace.
--Nichole Jones, 40, Garber Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:36 p.m. July 16 on charge of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Thela Gonzales, 17, Chestnut Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10 p.m. July 16 on a charge of disturbing the peace.
--Stephanie Manjarrez, 31, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. July 16 on a charge of simple battery.
--Za'Lajah Henderson, 17, River Road, Berwick, was arrested at midnight July 16 on a charge of simple battery.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
--Vincent T. Businelle, 62, Shady Grove Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Thursday on a charge of obscenity. Businelle is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.
--Wilbur J. Richard Jr., 41, South Murel, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:18 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving with license suspended or revoked. Richard is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $447.
--Walter D. Howard, 38, First Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:02 a.m. Saturday on a Jeanerette Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of exceeding maximum speed limit. Howard was transported to the Jeanerette Police Department.
--Quintin D. Douglas, 33, Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 11:13 a.m. Saturday on a Jeanerette Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of exceeding maximum speed limit. Douglas was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.
--Jarvis D. Granger, 39, Joseph Street, Amelia, was arrested at 3:39 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, wrong way on a one-way, possession of marijuana, no insurance, no driver’s license, expired license plate, possession of Schedule I drugs and possession of Schedule II drugs.
Granger is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.
Berwick
Chief David Leonard Sr. reported these arrests:
--Jose Manuel Bibian, 20, Amelia, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Thursday on St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrants alleging simple battery, false imprisonment and interfering with emergency communication.
--Blake Smith, 34, Patterson, was arrest at 11:10 a.m. Friday on charges of window tint and possession of marijuana (under 14 grams).
--Charmain Hebert, 24, Franklin, was arrest at 2:15 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued summons on those charges. Hebert was also arrested on Morgan City Police Department warrants alleging theft (less than $1,000) and access device fraud. Hebert was transported to the Morgan City Jail after being process.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Tate Foco, 19, Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:56 p.m. July 16 with the assistance of the Lafayette Police Department on a warrant dated March 10 alleging home invasion, aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Foco was also arrested on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of hit and run.
On March 8, the Franklin Police Department responded to calls of shots fired in the area of Iberia Street. Foco’s arrest stems from that investigation.
--Walter Baker Jr., 62, Bigler Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Baker was booked, processed and held on a $15,819.76 bond.
--Michael Arroyo-Jusino, 40, Bigler Street, Franklin, was arrested at 5:59 p.m. July 16 on charges of speeding and reckless operation. Arroyo-Jusino was booked, processed and released on a $643 bond.
--Brennan Comeaux, 32, of Highway 87, Franklin, was arrested at 8:55 July 16 on charges of when lighted lamps are required, driving while suspended, resisting an officer by giving false information and violation of protective order. Comeaux was booked, processed and held on a $6,250 bond.
--Tristen Trosclair, 18, Gates Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. July 16 on a charge of illegal possession of stolen firearms. Trosclair was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
