Morgan City man arrested on child pornography counts

For the second time in a week, a local man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Chad Michael Duval Jr., Roderick Street, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday on nine counts of pornography involving juveniles under 13 and one count of sexual abuse of an animal, according to state Attorney General Liz Murrill's office. Duval was arrested by agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation.
The arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Morgan City Police Department and the St Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Duval was booked into the Morgan City Jail.
The investigation continues.
A Bayou Vista man, Kaleb Leonard, 19, was arrested June 18 on 13 counts of child pornography. Out on bail, Leonard was arrested again July 1 on 45 child porn counts and 54 counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
