Local woman will publish book of travel tales and essays
Morgan City native Susie Dupuis Myers has penned her first non-fiction book, “I’m Here To Tale,” to be released later this spring. It chronicles camping adventures with her husband, non camping trips at home and abroad, and includes mini essays about memories and musings.
Her book is divided into three parts, Detailed camping stories can be found under the heading Here, There and Everywhere while other travel adventures are under a similar heading Here, There and Somewhere. Additionally, “I’m Here To Tale” has numerous short essays. These little tales, found in a section called Short Takes, are the memories, observations, reflections and personal experiences of the author who grew up in a small town, in a humble home surrounded by a loving family and a host of friends.
Enhanced with photos at the end of each chapter, these pictures, with captions, correspond to the stories in “I’m Here To Tale” thus appealing to those who enjoy visuals that accompany the written word.
No launch date has been set, but it will be announced by the author on Facebook.
Availability will be online through various platforms that will be listed when the book goes live. A book signing is also planned once “I’m Here To Tale” becomes available.
