Arrests include charges of rape, distributing meth and marijuana

Morgan City police made a rape arrest Monday and joined other agencies in making six drug-related arrests Monday and Tuesday.
St. Mary deputies reported two separate cocaine arrests within two hours Tuesday. Assumption deputies accused another suspect of distributing marijuana and methamphetamine among a long list of other charges.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Travis Joseph Skeen, 35, Aristle Road, Bayou L’Ourse, was booked Monday on charges of distribution of methamphetamine; distribution of marijuana; resisting an officer; failure to appear on a charge of simple burglary; failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number or mark; failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, and obstruction of justice; and failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance and distribution of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
As part of a parishwide investigation, narcotics agents developed information that indicated that Skeen was engaged in the trafficking of illegal narcotics. As that investigation progressed, agents developed probable cause to secure arrest warrants for Skeen on charges of distribution of methamphetamine and distribution of marijuana.
Skeen was being held in the St. Mary Parish jail on local charges there. Skeen was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending bond hearings.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 89 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Shane Valladares, 40, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Monday on a charge of first-degree rape.
--Katelynn Morgan, 31, La. 182 East, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:51 p.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of a legend drug (buspirone hydrochloride), possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, introduction of contraband into a penal facility, self-mutilation by a prisoner and six counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Kimberly Marie Jones, 34, Sun Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Monday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, resisting an officer by flight, switched license plate, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, no seat belt and failure to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Jason Zimmerman, 38, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, lights required on bicycle and failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Vintrell Boyd, 43, Wise Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:33 a.m. Monday on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City).
--Danayre Smith, 29, Birchfield Lane, Berwick, was arrested at 2:12 p.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).
--Timothy Francis, 37, Idaho Street, Morgan City, was arrested 7:14 p.m. Monday on four counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and as a fugitive from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office).
--Jamie Adams, 35, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Joseph Daniels Jr., 28, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday by the Narcotics Section on charges of no taillights, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Arthur Collins, 54, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday by the Narcotics Section on charges of turn signals required, suspended driver’s license, resisting an officer and possession of crack cocaine.
--Semaj Jaqualyn Douglas, 19, Patterson, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of simple battery. Bail was set at $2,500.
Bail has not been set at this time.
--Kayla Michelle Davis, 35, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 1:08 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of stolen things. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Marty James Badeaux, 63, Slidell, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Monday on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Bail was set at $2,500.
