Morgan City man accused of sex crimes

A Morgan City man is accused on rape and child pornography charges after an arrest Wednesday.

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 83 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Ronjuer Geanta Granger, Florence Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:29 p.m. Wednesday on charges of second-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving juveniles.
In Louisiana, second-degree rape is a rape involving force or the threat of violence, or involving a victim who has been rendered incapable of resisting by drugs administered without the victim's consent.
--Andres Cardenas, 37 White Heaven Bluff Trail, Katy, Texas, was arrested at 8:11 a.m. Thursday on charges of simple assault and disturbing the peace.
--Chad M. Johnson, 43, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. Thursday on a charge of resisting an officer.
--Jamie Scarbrough Jr., 35, La. 663, Bayou L'Ourse, was arrested at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
---Sarah Scott Duplantis, 42, Walnut Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:49 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).
--Raph Malieck Charlot, 28, Parro Lane, Berwick, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
