2025: Year of the bridge?

The 92-year-old La. 182 bridge, long recognizable for its rusty brown color, is sporting a silver-gray paint job to match the U.S. 90 bridge just down the Atchafalya River. The La. 182 bridge linking Morgan City and Berwick has been closed for two years, just when a weekend closure for walkers and bike-riders was becoming popular, for a major rehabilitation that includes the new superstructure work. The $26 million project is due for completion May, when the bridge will be reopened.
