B&G expands again, this time into Florida

B&G Food Enterprises of Morgan City, which only last month announced the opening of its first Taco Bell in Alabama, said Friday that it has acquired 12 Taco Bells in the Florida Panhandle.

B&G accumulated 100 restaurants in its first 34 years in business and has added 100 more in the last eight years.

B&G acquired the Florida restaurants from RGT Foods Inc. The restaurants are located in Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, and locations in Crestview, Destin, San Destin, Freeport, DeFuniak Springs and Marianna.

B&G’s footprint now runs from the Florida Panhandle across the Gulf Coast to the west of Houston, and then jumps to the Abilene market in west Texas.

This acquisition increases B&G’s restaurant count to 205 Taco Bell restaurants, with 62 within the Houston, Abilene and Beaumont markets in Texas, 113 in all markets of Louisiana except for Shreveport, 17 within the Hattiesburg and Biloxi markets in Mississippi, one within the Mobile market in Alabama, and 12 within the Panama City and Pensacola markets in Florida.
