Fall enrollment open at SoLAcc campuses in St. Mary

South Louisiana Community College campuses in Morgan City and Franklin are enrolling students for the fall 2024 semester.
Enrollment is open in the programs including commercial diving; industrial marine electronics; practical nursing; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and medical assistant.
In St. Mary Parish, you can study close to where you live and work. SoLAcc’s Morgan City and Franklin Campuses offer both hands-on training programs as well as associate degree programs.
“Whether you are beginning your education, brushing up on your skills, or taking a course for your enjoyment, the education you receive on our campuses will prepare you for the challenges ahead,” the colleges said in a news release.
Residents of St. Mary Parish area also eligible to receive assistance in pursuing their higher education goals or high school equivalency through support provided at the TRiO Educational Opportunity Center (www.solacc.edu/trio). For those looking to enter the workforce quickly, these campuses offer industry-based, short-term training programs including commercial vehicle operation (CDL) starting in July, HVAC starting in August, a variety of maritime courses, and more.
“Our classes are small enough to provide personal training and large enough for you to meet others with common interests,” the colleges said. “The faculty and staff at the Morgan City and Franklin Campuses are eager to assist you in any way.”
