MCPD reports arrest on bank fraud, assaulting an officer charges

Morgan City police reported arrests this week on charges of bank fraud, forgery and using a motor vehicle to assault an officer.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 76 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Errol Ray Lynch, 47, La Salle Street, New Orleans, was arrested t 11:04 a.m. Tuesday on charges of bank fraud and forgery (16th Judicial District Court).
--Joseph Cornelius Young III, 55, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on a police officer and aggravated obstruction of a roadway.
--Renetta Hawkins, 61, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday on three counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Damien K Keller, 40, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Anthony Bourgeois, 18, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested 11:53 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of brake lights required, no driver’s license and possession of marijuana. (Release on a summons.)
--Devica Lashae Wagner, 17, Apple Street, Morgan City, was arrested 11:54 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana. (Released on a summons.)
--Carl Jonnie Bridges, 68, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:13 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Dylan Joseph Theriot, 23, Belle River Road, Pierre Part, was arrested at 6:43 a.m. Monday on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Damon Maurice Allen, 53, Park Street, Patterson, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, entering contraband into a penal institution, failure to appear for a pre-trial conference (16th Judicial District Court), failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court) and failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).
--Shawna Lynette Smith, 44, Evergreen Avenue, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:14 p.m. Monday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and simple battery.
--Alyssa Louise Ashmore, 34, Front Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace.
--Bobby Jo Finch, 42, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Monday on a charge of criminal damage to property. (Released on a summons).
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and made these arrests:
--Keith Paul Brown, 57, Jeanerette, was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and resisting an officer. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Morrianne Mira Hatcher, 34, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and criminal damage to property. Bail was set at $1,500.
--Brookleigh B. Fitzgerald, 45, Kaplan, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 10 complaints over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Jon Ireland, 38, Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. Monday on two counts of theft. Ireland was booked, processed and held on a $3,000 bond.
--Ebonie Brown, 34, A St., Franklin, was arrested at 7:41 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving under suspension. Brown was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
--Steven Richard Sr., 43, Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:33 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property. Richard was booked, processed and held on a $10,000 bond.
