Central Catholic's Class of 2024 graduates at Holy Cross

Central Catholic seniors marked the end of their high school careers Saturday in commencement exercises and a Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City.

But graduation isn't the end of education for most. Of the 32 graduating seniors, Saturday's program listed 28 who have been accepted by colleges or universities. Five students graduated with summa cum laude honors.

The Rev. Simon Peter Engurait delivered the homily. Engurait is serving as Houma-Thibodaux Diocese administrator until the Vatican appoints a replacement for Bishop Mario Dorsonville, who died in January.
