Mr. Fore ex- plained that the landowners started their dirt pad on the property before taking into consideration the zoning setback re- quirements.

Others Present: Gabrielle Gil, Jerry Boyles, Barry Dufrene, Troy LaRive, Barton Blanco
Mr. Miller open-ed the regular meeting leading the Board in the pledge of allegiance.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on July 26, 2023 were reviewed. Mrs. Bradford made a motion to accept the minutes. Mr. Austin seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Mr. Dufrene presented and re- viewed the financial statements presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Byrd and seconded by Mrs. Bradford. The motion passed.
Mr. Bienvenu made a motion to pay outstanding invoices. Mr. Austin seconded the motion. Mr. Bienvenu, Mr. Austin, and Mrs. Bradford voted yes. Mr. Miller and Mr. Byrd abstained. The motion passed.
Mr. LaRive and Mr. Blanco of Am- erican Legion Post 242 requested use of the banquet room to have a ceremony on September 11 to thank those serving in the armed forces, as police, as fire fighters, as first responders, and others in St. Mary thanking them. Upon a motion by Mr. Byrd and a second by Mr.Bienvenu, the Board agreed to participate as a sponsor and not charge for the use of the banquet room.. The motion passed.
Mr. Boyles presented his report to the Board. The St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a forum for the candidates in the upcoming election. He reported the Crusin Cajun RV group will be re- turning in September. There will be a reception thanking them for returning and using the District’s building.
Upon a motion by Mr. Byrd and a second by Mrs. Bradford, the Board declared a Viper floor scrubber, serial number FANG24T-001198, placed in service on December 28, 2006, with an estimated fair market value of $250.00, as surplus movable property and no longer of any use to the District. The motion passed. The Board authorized placing it on www.govdeals.com for public auction.
With there being no other business to discuss, a mo- tion to adjourn was made by Mr. Byrd and seconded by Mrs. Bradford. The motion passed.

Franklin, LA
Sealed Bids for the construction of PHASE 2 RE- ROOFING AT FRANKLIN SR HIGH SCHOOL, Franklin, Louisiana - for the St. Mary Parish School Board; will be received until 10:30 A.M., local time, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in the School Board Maintenance Dept Meeting Room, behind the St Mary Parish School Board Central Office Complex, 474 Hwy 317, Centerville LA, 70522, after which the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids may also be submitted electronically, and Contractors can post their electronic bids at www.centralbidding.com. Any Bids received after the above- mentioned time will not be considered.
This project consists of the replacement of approx 1,175 Squares of existing SBS flat built-up roofing, on 9 different roof levels, together with miscellaneous general construction and associated work on the main school buildings at Franklin High School on Cynthia St in Franklin. The work will be bid in a Base Bid and Additive Alternate Bids.
All Contractors desiring to bid on this project shall attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting noted below.
Contractors can obtain bid related materials from the Architect and from www.centralbidding.com. Contractors desiring to bid on this project are requested to take out a hard copy of the plans and specifications, but if not, shall notify the Architect of their interest in bidding prior to the Pre-bid Meeting to facilitate dissemination of Addenda and other pertinent information to bidders that may occur prior to that meeting. Copies of the plans and specifications and related contract documents are on file in the St. Mary Parish School Board Maintenance Office located at the rear of the St. Mary Parish School Board Central Office Complex, 474 Hwy 317, Centerville LA, and at the office of Firmin Architects, Ltd, 530 Third Street, P.O. Box 972, Morgan City, Louisiana, (985/384-3094), and are open for inspection at each of these offices without charge.
