Amani Calais, 24, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Patterson.
She is survived by her mother, Vanessa Calais of Patterson; three brothers, Tarence Calais of Den-ton, Texas, and Jospeh Henry and Ja’Harryus’ Griffin, both of Patterson; sister, Ma’Kiy’la Griffin of Patterson; and grandfathers, Michael Calais Sr. of Houston and Ernest Knight Jr. of Youngsville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, father and grandmothers.
