New Berwick library branch unveiled
Local officials took part in an April 27 ribbon-cutting for the St. Mary Parish library system's new Berwick branch. The 8,100-square-foot, $3 million structure features an eye-catching glass entryway; a multipurpose room; a client room for quiet reading away from library traffic; and other amenities. The speakers included Parish President David Hanagriff, Berwick Mayor Duval Arthur, library consultant Rebecca Hamilton and St. Mary Parish Library Director Julie Champagne Culler.
