3 theft arrests in Morgan City; 3 drug arrests in Assumption

Morgan City police reported three arrests on theft charges and another on methamphetamine possession charges.
Assumption deputies reported three more drug arrests.
Morgan City
Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 54 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Carlos Peter Ramos, 20, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Monday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Christina Sargee, 43, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Monday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Blanca Alvarado, 37, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2 p.m. Monday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Quijakius Quimonte Jashaun Johnson, 40, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:02 a.m. Monday on charges of domestic abuse battery and child endangerment law.
--Frank James Rock Jr., 35, Andrew Street, Patterson, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. Monday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Junior Daniel Paz Alvarado, 19, Egle Mill Lane, Morgan City, was, arrested at 1:09 p.m. Monday on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
--Trampas John Lapoint, 35, Sun Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Monday on charges of remaining where forbidden.
--Hope Lynn Delgado, 38, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, flight from an officer, driving under suspension and improper line usage.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
--Lysa Marie Fabre, 36, Odile Street, Morgan City, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and failure to dim headlights.
The charges arise from a traffic stop on LA 662 in Bayou L’Ourse on Saturday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Fabre, and conducted an interview. At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy felt that further investigation was warranted.
A K-9 was summoned to the stop location. The K-9 conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of illegal narcotics.
The vehicle was searched, and a quantity of methamphetamine was seized.
Fabre was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and released on a $2,500 bond.
--Benjamine Joseph Landry, 40, Maryann Street, Pierre Part, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17, and as a fugitive from Livingston Parish.
--Danielle Landry Barbier, 35, Randy Street, Pierre Part, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 and failure to dim headlights.
The arrests followed a traffic stop Sunday near Belle River.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a westbound vehicle near Belle River and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Barbier, and conducted an violator interview. The deputy conducted a criminal records check on all occupants, including Landry. The return indicated that Landry was wanted as a fugitive for Livingston Parish.
The deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the suspect vehicle.
During the search, quantities of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia was seized.
Both Barbier and Landry were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
