Drug arrests reported in Morgan City, Berwick

Morgan City and Berwick police reported a total of three arrests on drug charges over the long weekend. Morgan City officers also made arrests on drunken-driving and hit-and-run charges.
Morgan City
Police Chief Chad M. Adams responded to 190 calls for service over the last 96-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Kerwing Benitez-Deleon, 23, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:27 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and three counts of failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Marin I. Colindres-Matamoros, 23, Drexel Avenue, Franklin, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), no driver’s license and improper turning.
--Josiah Swan, 20, Chester Bowles, Morgan City, arrested 5:05 p.m. Friday on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Donna Davidson, 63, Franklin Street, Morgan City, arrested at 7:52 a.m. Sunday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Chelsey D. Celestine, 31, Emy Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated battery and disturbing the peace (fighting).
--Charles Anthony Watts Jr., 25, Willow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Sunday on three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Mark Clements, 57, River Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
--Julissa Flores Avila, 34, Short Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Monday on a charge of hit-and-run driving.
--Anthony Ignatious Troulliet Jr., 47, Eighth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:29 p.m. Monday on charges of battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
--Johnnie Renet Troulliet, 52, Eighth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:29 p.m. Monday on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
--Devin A. Troulliet, 26, Eighth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:29 p.m. Monday on charges of battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
--Dakota Aubrey Daigle, 30, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Monday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
Berwick
Police Chief David S. Leonard reported these arrests:
--Jeremy Blackburn, 44, North Third Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone), and on a hold for the Morgan City Police Department.
--Kimberly Freyoux, 41, Knight Street, Berwick was arrested at 8:16 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone).
About 7:26 p.m. Sunday, officers went to a residence on Knight Street to locate Blackburn, who had active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. Officers made contact with Blackburn and Freyoux.
Blackburn was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest without incident. During this time, items of drug paraphernalia were located on his person. Through the course of the investigation, consent was given to search the residence, where marijuana and methamphetamine were located. The residence in which the incident occurred is within a drug-free zone.
Following the investigation, Freyoux was placed under arrest and was released on a summons to appear in court. Blackburn was booked.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 96 complaints and made these arrests:
--Joseph Anthony Acosta, 40, Morgan City was arrested at 10:40 a.m. Friday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace (offensive words), failure to secure registration, operating a vehicle without proof of insurance, operating a vehicle without driver’s license on person and attempted theft.
Acosta was also named in a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging driving on protected levee. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Kendrick Juan Madison, 45, Franklin, was arrested at 4:44 p.m. Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear. Bail was set at $6,160.
--Brian John Klein, 41, Patterson, was arrested at 7 p.m. Saturday on a charge of aggravated battery. Klein was released on a $500 bond.
--Stephanie Lee Milton, 54, Franklin, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Sunday on a Chitimacha Tribal Police Department warrant alleging theft. Milton was released on a $500 bond.
Patterson
Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:
--Rondell J. Guy, 29, Hurtsville Road, Spring, Texas, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. Monday on charges of speeding 70 mph on a 55 mph zone and no driver’s license. He was issued a summons.
Franklin
Interim Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 27 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made these arrests:
--Ishia Joseph, 29, Plantation Village, New Iberia, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding, no proof of insurance and failure to carry registration in vehicle. Joseph was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rde Ward City Court.
--Royal Jackson, 21, Trowbridge Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Saturday on a warrant dated Aug. 13 alleging aggravated assault with a firearm. Jackson was booked, processed and released on a $15,000 bond.
--Desiree LeBlanc, 31, Second Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of vicious dog prohibited. LeBlanc was booked, processed and released on a $358 bond.
Chitimacha
Police Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:
--Harold Marks, 53, Francis Street, New Iberia, was arrested Thursday on charges of driving under suspension, speeding, and no insurance. He was released on a summons.
--Angela M Talkington, 49, Charles Holton Road, Kentwood, was arrested Saturday on charges of driving on roadway laned for traffic, possession marijuana, possession of THC oil and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a summons.
--Stephanie Milton, 54, Irish Bend Road, Franklin, was arrested on warrants obtained from an investigation on Friday. She was transported to St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Roy J Verret, 57, Verret Road, Jeanerette, was arrested on active warrants through Baldwin Police Department alleging aggravated flight from an officer (felony), drivers to exercise due care, careless operation, reckless operation of a vehicle, maximum speed law, and stop sign and yield sign. He was also arrested on warrants obtained from an investigation Friday on charges of aggravated flight from an officer (felony), reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and maximum speed law (55 mp) in a 35 mph posted speed zone). He was transported to St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Lawrence Alex Garrett, 26, Willow Bend Lane, Patterson, was booked Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court in Assumption Parish.
Garrett was previously arrested on charges in Assumption Parish on charges of possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice. Upon release, Garret was served notice to appear in court Dec. 5 and failed to do so.
As a result, on Dec. 6, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Garrett.
On Dec. 8, Garrett was arrested by Morgan City Police on local charges there. On Friday he was transferred and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center with bond set at $750.
