Six arrests Wednesday by Morgan City, Franklin police

Morgan City and Franklin police reported six arrests Wednesday on charges that included false imprisonment, battery of a police officer and domestic abuse battery.
Morgan City
Interim Police Chief Mark E. Griffin Jr. reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--James Michael Murray, 35, Brownell Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Tanner Joseph Scarbrough, 22, Patton Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of false imprisonment.
--Demetrius Owens, 29, Orange Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of battery on a police officer.
--Alicia Ann Gilmer, 28, Comeaux Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City) and one count of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to nine complaints over the last 24-hour and made these arrests:
--Lysander Williams, 53, Cedar Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated July 28 alleging resisting by flight and no insurance. Williams was additionally arrested on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Williams was booked, processed and transport-ed to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Rodney Bowie, 44, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated March 22 alleging remaining where forbidden and a warrant dated July 6 alleging simple criminal damage to property and battery of a dating partner. Bowie was booked, processed and held on a $4,000 bond.
