Bayou Boogie fundraiser set for Saturday at Gros' Marina

NephCure Kidney International, a nonprofit dedicated to finding better treatments for patients suffering from nephrotic syndrome and other rare, chronic kidney diseases, will be hosting its third annual Boogie on the Bayou event on Saturday, July 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m at Gros’ Marina in Stephensville. This outdoor day of fun will feature Louisiana seafood, a silent auction, games and a performance by local music stars Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns.
Nephrotic syndrome is an umbrella term for a range of rare, protein-spilling kidney diseases that currently have no cure and few effective treatments. With the help of NephCure-funded research, there are now more than 40 new potential treatment options being tested in clinical trials. All proceeds from Boogie on the Bayou will go toward NephCure’s mission of supporting rare kidney disease patients and families and further advancing this research.
The event will have a $5 cover to be paid upon arrival. For more information, visit give.NephCure.org/Boogie.
