JANICE DESHOTEL GARY

November 12, 1952 - October 24, 2021

Janice Deshotel Gary, a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, passed away at the age of 68 on the evening of Sunday, October 24, 2021, at her home.

Janice was born in Mamou, LA on November 12, 1952 and was the eldest of three daughters born to Allen and Beula Deshotel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed scrapbooking, photography, and cooking. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Clebert Gary; her son, Blake Romero and his wife Jennifer; her grandchildren, Morgan Jo Romero and Brett Allen Romero; her sisters, Marilyn Sue Pate and her husband Mike and Phyllis Deshotel; and her nephew, Nicholas Provost.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen B. Deshotel and Beula Mae Fontenot Deshotel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson, with visiting hours from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Romero, Brett Romero, Phyllis Deshotel, Nicholas Provost, Noah Provost, and Jamey Fabre.
