SLCC gets new home health care lab

Mata Tellman of the St. Mary Chamber cuts the ribbon to mark the opening Tuesday of the new home health care lab at South Louisiana Community College's Young Memorial Campus in Morgan City. The new lab is the bedroom home of Susie, a mannequin that will train home health care students to tend to patients in their own environments. Similar labs are appearing on community college campuses through a partnership between SLCC and LHC, a leading home health care provider.
