Special School Board meeting set for Tuesday
The St. Mary School Board will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Office Complex in Centerville.
Many items on the agenda were to have been taken up at Thursday's regular meeting, but six members of the 11-member board were absent, leaving the board without a quorum.
The special meeting agenda includes:
--Certification of the March 20 election results that passed a new 0.45% sales tax for staff pay.
--A proposed ordinance that would formally enact the new sale tax, which would be collected beginning July 1.
--A resolution calling for an Oct. 9 election on renewal of an 11.82-mill property tax.
--Consideration of a contract extension for Superintendent Teresa Bagwell.
