Sheriff: Man arrested after accosting woman at her home

A Bayou L’Ourse man faces a sexual battery charge after accosting a woman as she unloaded her car, the As-sumption Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

Assumption
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
— Ty Quang Thai, 50, Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Sunday on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of disturbing the peace, misdemeanor sexual battery, simple battery and crim-inal trespassing.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence and made contact with the complainant, who advised that Thai had presented himself at her residence as she and her friend were unloading her car.

Thai appeared to be intoxicated and at one point tried to kick in the front door of the victim’s home. According to the allegations, the suspect is accused of grabbing one of two females in a sexually aggressive manner before fleeing the area.
The responding deputy was able to locate Thai nearby and arrested him.

Thai was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility pending a bond hearing.

—Tyronne Fair Jr., 30, of 383 La. 400, Napoleonville, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse aggravated assault with child endangerment and communication of false infor-mation of a planned arson, and on a warrant for a parole violation.

Deputies were dispatched Sunday to an Alvin Street address and interviewed the complainant, who was an acquaintance of Fair.

At that time, it was determined that Fair pointed firearms at family members of the ac-quaintance, at a group of children as well as the complainant.

Fair had departed the area when deputies arrived. Warrants were applied for and granted for Fair’s arrest.

Fair was arrested in Paincourtville and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

He is to be held without bond on the parole violation.

— Ashley Lynn Savoie, 35, La. 1, Napoleonville, was arrested Dec. 30 on charges of possession of metham-phetamine and illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances.

—Adam Daniel Simoneaux, La. 1, Napoleonville, was arrested Monday on charges of possession of metham-phetamine and illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances.

Detectives were executing a search warrant relative to an ongoing investigation when they located illegal drugs. Narcotics agents were then assigned to the investigation along with detectives.

During the execution of the warrant, quantities of methamphetamine as well as a firearm were seized.

Savoie was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and later released on a $35,000 bond.

As a result of this investigation, warrants were issued for the arrest of Simoneaux. He turned himself in at the Assumption Parish Detention Center Simoneaux was later released on a $50,000 bond.

Berwick
Police Chief David Leonard reported these arrests:

—Farrel C. Goff, 33, Midland Drive, Thibodaux, was arrested at 11:44 a.m. Dec. 28 on Berwick Police Department war-rants for battery of a dating partner (child endangerment law), unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and simple criminal damage to property.

Officers traveled to the Livingston Parish Detention Center to take Goff into custody on warrants that he had through the Berwick Police Department. These warrants stem from an investigation that took place on June 22, in which Goff committed a battery upon a dating partner.

He then damaged and took the victim's vehicle without authorization. He was unable to be located, so warrants were issued for his arrest. Goff was booked into the Berwick Jail, where he remains in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

—Juvenile male, 16, Patterson, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. Dec. 28 on charges of possession of MDMA (ecsta-sy); windshield, view inward and outward must not be obstructed; and no driver’s license.

Officers observed a vehicle on Tournament Boulevard commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as a juvenile, who did not have a driver's license.

Officers located MDMA on the juvenile's person. He was arrested and booked at the Berwick Police Department then released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

—Christopher L. Lacaze, 41, Knight Street, Berwick, was arrested 4:33 p.m. Dec. 28 on a charge of violation of protec-tive orders.

Officers were on patrol when they observed Lacaze enter the backyard of a residence on Knight Street. Officers knew that Lacaze had a protective order that prohibited him from being at this residence.

He was detained and admitted that he was going to that residence despite having the order against him. Lacaze was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
—Brent J. Leblanc, 28, Cactus Drive, Bourg, was arrested at 4:48 p.m. Dec. 30 on a Berwick Police Department war-rant for felony theft.

Officers traveled to the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center to take Leblanc into custody on a warrant that he held through the Berwick Police Department. The warrant stems from an investigation into the theft of a fork lift that occurred Oct. 6.
Through investigation, Leblanc was identified as the suspect and a warrant was prepared for his arrest. He was booked into the Berwick Jail, where he remains in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.

—Pamela H. Conerly, 35, Jeddo Street, Berwick, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 31 on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Officers responded to Jeddo Street in reference to a disturbance in progress. Officers located Conerly in an impaired state and learned that she created a disturbance at the residence.

While the officer was on scene, Conerly continued to cause a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she remains in lieu of a $201 bond.

—Tiffany N. Fontenot, 39, Ehrlich Street. Berwick, was arrested at 4:03 p.m. Thursday on charges of careless opera-tion and driving under suspension.

Officers responded to La. 182 at Old Spanish Trail regarding a two-vehicle crash. Through investigation, officers deter-mined that Fontenot was operating her vehicle in a careless manner, which led through the crash.

A computer check revealed that her driver's license was suspended. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where he later posted a bond of $302 and was released.

—Debra C. Rock, 59, Guzzetta Drive, was arrested, at 9:29 a.m. Saturday on charges of passing in a no-passing zone and driver under suspension.

Officers observed a vehicle passing another vehicle in a marked no passing zone on La. 182 near Patti Drive. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Rock.

A computer check revealed that her driver's license was suspended. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she was later released on a $302 surety bond.

—Shannon P. Ashmore, 49, Hilda Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Saturday on a Berwick Police De-partment warrant for violation of protective order.

Berwick officers, along with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department, made contact with Ashmore at a resi-dence on Clothilde Street. in Morgan City. Ashmore held an active warrant through the Berwick Police Department for violating a protective order Dec. 30.

Ashmore was unable to be locate on that day, therefore, a warrant was prepared for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she remains in lieu of a $2,500 bond.

—Nikolai A. Stephanenko, 42, Oakwood Forest Drive, Houston, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Saturday on charges of special restrictions on lamps and switched license plate.

Officers observed a vehicle traveling on U.S. 90 shining a bright spot light on other vehicles as they traveled on the highway.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Stephaneko.

Through investigation, officers learned that the license plate on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle. In conclusion, Stephaneko was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail, where he remains in lieu of a $302 bond.

—Steven W. Howard Jr., 29, La. 311, Schriever, was arrested at 10:18 a.m. Sunday on charges of following too closely and driving under suspension.

Officers observed a vehicle traveling on U.S. 90 following another vehicle too closely. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Howard.

A computer check revealed that his driver's license was suspended. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail, where he posted a bond of $302 and was released.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported these arrests:

—Chance Colbert Joseph Boudreaux, 26, Lafayette, was arrested at 1:23 p.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper lane usage. Boudreaux was released on his own recognizance.

—Sheila Antoinette Gallow, 35, Crowley, was arrested at 9:51 a.m. Monday on a charge of simple battery on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing. Gallow was released on a summons to appear April 27.

—Brennan Norton Skinner Sr., 28, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana, criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace by language. Bail was set at $2,750.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported these arrests:

—Jeffery Lee Williams, 30, North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested at 1:13 p.m. Monday on a charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Marguerite Street and Sixth. The officer conducted a traffic stop and came into contact with the driver and passenger, Williams.

During the traffic stop, an officer observed Williams concealing a large bag of suspected methamphetamine on his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incar-ceration.

—Patrick Anthony Wright, 62, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Monday on charges of illegal possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.

Officers were called to the area of Levee Road to investigate a disturbance involving a firearm. They learned Wright was involved in the disturbance.

During the investigation, the officer discovered Wright was in possession of a stolen firearm and suspected mariju-ana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarcera-tion.

—Charles Earl Beverly, 28, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Monday on a warrant for two counts of contempt of court.

Beverly was located at the New Iberia Parish Detention Center and placed under arrest on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

—Ashley Nicole Clark, 36, Grandwood Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Monday on charges of speeding, no motor vehicle insurance and possession of stolen things under $1,000.

An officer observed a traffic violation on Marquerite Street and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Clark.

A computer revealed the license plate displayed on the vehicle was stolen and the vehicle was not insured. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
--Celeste Cortez, 31, Union Street, Morgan City, at 10:35 p.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Officers were called to a Union Street. address for an individual causing a disturbance. They learned Cortez was involved in the disturbance.

She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration
