The Berwick High School Panthers defeated the Morgan City High School Tigers 9-4 in Morgan City Tuesday. While Morgan City took a 4-0 lead after an inning on a grand slam by Chris Pitre, Berwick responded in the top of the third with a grand slam by Seth Canty to tie the game at 4. The Panthers added five more runs in the top of the fifth for the final margin. Canty and Landon Harris led Berwick’s offense.
