JEFFRIE SCOTT SWORD

April 7, 1971 – February 25, 2019
Jeffrie Scott Sword, a Macon, Georgia native, former Michigan resident, and a longtime resident of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47 on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette as the result of a heart attack.
Jeffrie was a hardworking man. He was an outstanding auto body repairman who worked for the past nine years for A.J. Dohmann in Berwick as Manager of their body shop. In his earlier years, during his time in Michigan, Jeffrie was a proud Emergency Medical Technician volunteer. Some of his favorite pastimes included coin collecting, going to the casino, and NASCAR. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
His memory will forever live in the hearts of his five children, Brandon L. Sword and his wife Zoe, John Francis and his wife Jessica, Dustin Otis, and Cody Sword, all of Michigan, and Olivia Sword of Franklin; his companion and mother of Olivia, Debbie Truelove of Franklin; two step daughters, Katie and Amanda Vilcan, both of Charenton; six grandchildren, Shaylee, Bryton, Shane, Ava, and Violet Sword, and Emmett Francis; two sisters, Betty Patterson and Freida Sword; and three brothers, Terry, Irvin, and David Sword.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin sterling Sword and Gloria Clark Sword; and an infant sister, Nancy Sword.
Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.
