November was a bright spot for St. Mary Parish sales and use tax collections in a year marked by inconsistency in collections, Parish Sales and Use Tax Director Jeff LaGrange said in an email.
Sales and use tax collections totaled about $3 million in November, a 10.3 percent increase from the $2.72 million collected during November 2017. Excluding collections made as a result of financial audits, collections increased 9.1 percent.
