(Updated) Police: One person had minor injuries in shooting
One male victim sustained minor injuries following a Monday morning shooting in the area of Orange Street in Morgan City, a police news release said.
Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, Morgan City police responded to a call of several shots being fired in the area of Orange Street. Officers arrived in the area and located one male victim who suffered a gunshot wound to the lower leg, the release said.
The victim was treated for minor injuries at Teche Regional Medical Center. Detectives are currently investigating the shooting. Anyone with information should contact the Morgan City Police Department detectives at 985-380-4605.
