Patterson Garden Club holds first meeting of year

Patterson Garden Club held its first meeting of the 2018-19 year on Sept. 18 at the home of Iris Roy. Co-hostesses for the meeting were Roy and Daisy LeBlanc.
President Evelyn Estay led the business meeting. New yearbooks were studied with plans for the coming year. Two new members, Deidre Boyd and Susie Mendoza, were welcomed.
The club always welcomes new members. The next meeting is Oct. 23.
Winner of the half-and-half drawing was Mendoza.
The club expressed thanks to everyone who bought squares on the Saints football pool. Proceeds help with club expenses and projects.
