UNA 'CHUTE' CANTY

Una “Chute” Canty, 83, a resident of Berwick, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Morgan City Health Care Center.
Una was born on November 5, 1934, in Berwick, the daughter of Mitchell and Eunice Fabre Bruney.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three children, Gwendolyn Tellman and husband Doug, and Shawn Canty and wife Tammy, both of Berwick, and Bannon Canty; six grandchildren, Vivian Gill and husband Michael of Ponchatoula, Sean Canty of Morgan City, Nicholas Canty and wife Carley of Belle River, Seth Canty, Tarrin Canty and Glynn Guidry Jr., all of Berwick; and three great-grandchildren, Lillyian Guidry, Angelique Guidry and Payton Guidry.
Una was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Eunice Fabre Bruney; her husband, George E. Canty Jr.; one son, George E. Canty III; and three sisters, Poony, Chuny and Teet Teet.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Twin City Funeral Home with Monsignor J. Douglas Courville officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services; and following services, Una will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
