Roads within Lake End Park and Parkway in Morgan City will be getting re-paved with asphalt in the next few weeks as city officials plan to do the work in conjunction with the roadwork on La. 70.
The Morgan City Council met Tuesday.
The council authorized the city to spend about $180,000 to asphalt the roads within Lake End Park and Parkway. City officials “piggybacked” this project on the portion of the St. Mary Parish Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 2 levee project that involves raising part of La. 70 by the park, Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi said.
